Morning Session: 9 AM to 12 Noon - Monday through Friday

New England Academy's (NEA) Introductory Debate class follows the Middle School Public Debate Program, a national program, to guide students through the structure of modified parliamentary debate and the fundamentals of argumentation, refutation, and speaking with confidence.

This program includes multiple classes for students entering grades 4 through 8.  As necessary, students will be grouped into classes by grade/ability.

No prerequisite is necessary.

COVID-19 - NEA will run this class entirely online using Zoom.  NEA has extensive experience teaching digital debate classes with over 25 students and multiple instructors.  Our digital classes are as effective as a "meeting in person" class.

S20 Strategy Board Games Class (3)

New England Academy

Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM - Monday through Friday

New England Academy believes that strategic thinking requires practice, and this class does that with games.  Yes, games.  This class indulges those kids who love games with board games and kindles the interest in those who don't.  Through interactive strategic BOARD games (not video games), kids learn critical thinking: formulating a strategy for winning, anticipating, and preventing opponents from winning.
